The Almaty Marathon is an annual international running competition held in April and the largest sporting event in Central Asia. Almaty Marathon tracks are certified according to the rules of AIMS and IAAF and have category "B". There are three different races the participants can compete in: - Satellite race (10 km) - participants from 15 years of age and older - Half marathon (21km) - participants from 18 years of age and older - Marathon (42km) - participants from 18 years of age and older
